Costa Rican National Holidays are: Jan. 1^st, Thursday and Friday of Easter, April 11th, May 1^st , July 25^th, August 2^nd and 15^th , September 15^th , October 12^th , December 25^th

If a holiday is during the week then the choice is made by the teacher to work that same day or to replace the class on the Saturday. Be sure to work your travel schedule around these replacement classes on Saturday.
Our 2010 schedule during Christmas will be:
Week of December 12-18: Classes from Monday to Friday
Week of December 19-25: Classes from Monday to Friday
Week of December 26- Jan 1: Classes from Monday to Friday

High season is from December to April.  During this time the Orosi Valley's climate ranges from up to32º C, with an average of about 28ºC during the day to about 18ºC during the night, which makes it great for sleeping.

During the "Green season", also known as the rainy season, May to November, the mornings are dry, hot and sunny with the clouds pulling in around noon and raining sometimes throughout the night.  October is the worst month for rain but it normally starts to get better in November.  The green season is actually a great time to travel in Costa Rica as you can see all the tropical beauty in its full green beauty and you do not have to fight with crowds. Don't forget that each beach has it's own climate habits which can always change based on local weather and storms.

Montaña Linda opened it's tent flaps in 1994 only offering camping facilities to incoming guests, but since that humble beginning, Montaña Linda has grown to be very popular amongst the backpacker crowd, Mid budget travelers and students of all ages studying Spanish.

Montaña Linda Spanish School Costa Rica was started by the previous owners of the hotel in 1996, with the idea of offering inexpensive classes for those who were travelling for long lengths of time and who could not afford the prices of other schools in Costa Rica.  Since we took over, we have taken this idea and continued to expand our services, offering you the best we possibly can at the lowest price possible!

We now boast a Guest House offering mid-budget accommodations, low-budget accommodations with kitchen facilities including coffee and a fridge, breakfast, lunch and coffee and snacks in our Restaurant Gekko's, Spanish language classes, laundry, book exchange, games, camping, hammocks, local and national tourist info, WIFI, souvenirs, Skype calls and last but not least tours throughout the valley.
