The great community, with its
13 thousand inhabitants, welcomes, motivates and encourages
your immersion to both language and culture as it is open to tourism but hasn't let it change their typical way of living, allowing you to integrate and see
what life is really like, while learning and practicing your language
skills each day. Being a small town safety is not an issue allowing you to enhance your knowledge of the Costa Rican
Language and culture in a more interactive way allowing for more
realisitic chances to practice.
º |
The town of Orosi has
3 internet cafes, pool halls, typical Costa
Rican bars, many restaurants and a great supermarket with everything
a traveler could need, all allowing you to enjoy your vacation
in comfort. We, as owners, have been very accepted into the community
due to our involvement in teaching English and service projects, which in turn rolls over to
you our
visiting guests, making you as welcome and accepted as we are!

Why learn Spanish in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica has no military with 1/4 of its land area being protected or devoted to national parks and
though it comprises only 0.01% of the Earth's landmass, it is home to 5% of
its biological diversity. Costa Rica has the highest literacy and life
expectancy rate in Latin America and
Costa Rica been classified as the happiest country on earth.-July

Costa Rica Lonely Planet guide book:
"(...) Montaña Linda has a fun hostel environment (...)
There are hot showers and kitchen privileges and cheap
meals are available. Helpful, friendly owners Toine and Sara
and staff are a good source of local information and organize tours in
the valley. (...) They also run a small inexpensive language
school, which has received recommendations from readers.
Maximum class size is three, and teachers live in the
village, so even without homestay (which can be arranged),
part of the appeal is getting involved with the local
community (...)."
