If you're interested in jumping into the language we have great homestay families that fill that need. We have families with many children of different ages that can help you throughout your different levels of Spanish Language development.

Our families are all based in town with a maximum walk of 5 minutes to both the hostel & Language School and will introduce you to their culture while helping you practice your Spanish.. Our families are a mixture… from one to many children… younger to older…active to tranquilo…no english experience to some english experience with children of different ages that can help you throughout your different levels of spanish as you develop along the way. We have 50 families so just let us know the following when siging up to help us co-ordinate the right match especially if you have younger children:

We do have many families on our homestay list so space is not a problem anytime throughout the year.  We always book 1 student to go into separate families unless a double up is requested.  All families offer the student a private room and shared bathroom within the family house, breakfast and dinner.  Laundry is not included, but can be done at the family or hotel for $4.00 per load.  Although families do not serve lunch you can either make your own in your family, in our guest kitchen in the hostel or eat at one of the many restaurants there are here in town.
A family is great for increasing your Spanish Language skills but it can be a bit difficult to go straight into a family when just starting classes so, you don’t need to book the family right away if you don’t feel comfortable, you can always choose to go into a family after you have arrived and had a few classes under your belt.  The best for a beginner is to spend the first week in the hostel and then move into the family in the second week.  

Time outside of the classroom, while staying in a family  would be spent hiking and doing nature things but mostly being with family members, which will increase her learning rate dramatically. If your interested in sending younger students, we accept students in groups from age age and individual students from 17  on with written parental consent.  In this case we would choose a family that has a family member of the same age and would choose a family that would be willingto take full responsibilty for ensure that the students is constantly monitered.

Tecnical details:
Families are regularly used to having vegetarians, and in most cases we are also able to accommodate Vegans as long as the student was willing to jump in the kitchen to give help with ideas.Homestays are arranged for students taking classes only or for those family members that are accompanying the student.  The cost per non studying student is $10.00 per night. Unfortunately we do not give out homestay family details until arriving, as students often choose to stay longer then planned which makes it hard for us to book for this in advance, but we always do our best to make a good match!
