Montaña Linda Youth hostel and Spanish school is located 1 ½ hours away from San José, giving you a chance to
escape the big city but not leaving you stranded from civilization.
We are located in the heart of the small colonial town of Orosi and are surrounded
by mountainous coffee fields offering you a spectacular view including Volcanoes
Irazu and Turrialba.
The valley offers you natural hotsprings, waterfalls, horseback riding, pools, the oldest church in Costa Rica that is still in use, ruins, Tapanti national park, a sports park, private reserves, trout fishing, coffee farms, an 87 year old a sugar mill, natural swimming holes along the rivers and many natural trails taking you throughout the beautiful valley.
The town of Orosi itself, with its 8000 inhabitants, is open to tourism but hasn't
let it change their typical way of living, allowing you to integrate and see what life
is really like.
The town has pool halls, typical Costa Rican bars, many restaurants and a great supermarket, which has everything a traveler could need, all allowing you to enjoy your vacacion with comfort.
