Miscellaneous C.R. and Orosi Town info.

Water:  Don't worry too much about the water in Costa Rica. Our area supplies water to the San José and Heredia areas, making it well monitored and quite safe to drink. We do suggest thought to ween onto it slowly as too many changes to the body at  the same time can cause stomach upset.

Communication: Montaña Linda offers a phone for placing calls in Costa Rica but all international calls and faxes can be made at the local supermarket. The town of Orosi, also, offers many Internet cafes, allowing you to keep in touch.

Bikes: Orosi has bikes for rent! Prices are $4.50 per half day and $8.00 per day. Many trails in this valley some of which are suitable for bikes and other which are not, but the bike opportunity will allow you "to reach out and touch", that much more!!

Bank: There is now a bank here in town located 2 minutes away from the hotel!!

Post Office: There is now a post office here in town, Located in the "Otiac" offices!!

Tourist Info:  Montaña Linda & Otiac are also the local Tourist Information Centers. Please feel free to drop by, even if you are not staying with us and we will be quite willing to set up tours or supply you with any necessary information.

Airport Pick-up: Airport pick-up is available at $ 40.00 USD first person and $ 5.00 USD for each additional person. Please remember to email your airline company, flight number and expected time of arrival, to us at least one week in advance.   Just look for a sign with your name on it once arriving at the left hand side of the exit.

Voltage: The electrical voltage in Costa Rica is 110. Electrical transformers can be purchased in various electronic stores.

Rental houses in Orosi
When renting a house we suggest that you always "receive" the house with the owner taking pictures of all rooms and specfically of any problem areas.  In Costa Rica foreign renters are exepcted to look after the basic upkeep and any decoration or maintenance "wanted" by the tenant.

This area will be up and running by mid Febuary 2007
